Virginia Green, 67, of Redwood Falls died Friday, July 1, 2011 at The Lodge assisted living facility in Burnsville. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with Rev. Bill Klavetter officiating. Burial will follow in the Olivia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue on Wednesday at the church for one hour prior to services.

Virginia Mae Green, the daughter of Timothy and Helen (Waltjer) Maurice, was born February 15, 1944 in Danube. She grew up in the Willmar and Redwood Falls areas, graduated from Danube High School in 1962 and then went on to attend Willmar Beauty School.
On August 28, 1965, Virginia married Casper Green in Morgan, MN. The couple made their home in Morgan. In 2007, they divorced and Virginia moved to Redwood Falls. There, she worked in retail at Wilson’s and Treonne’s in Redwood Falls.
Virginia belonged to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Redwood Falls. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She enjoyed her career and the many rewarding relationships that formed through the years.
Above all, Virginia treasured her family, children, and dearly loved her grandkids. She will be greatly missed.
Virginia is survived by her children Mark (Kathy) Green of New Ulm and Lisa (Dan) Hanson of Savage; her grand-children Madelyn Green, Andrew Green, Nicolas Hanson, and Julia Hanson. Also surviving are her siblings Virgil (Elaine) Maurice of Olivia, Verlin (Barb) Maurice of Maynard, Wayne (Mavis) Maurice of Danube, Mary (Gary) Jansen of Bird Island, Larry (Linda) Maurice of Bloomington, David (Connie) Maurice of Danube, and Debra (Chuck) Folkerts of Olivia. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Timothy and Helen Maurice.
