Tirso Vigil, 66, of Clements died Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from the Nelson-Martin Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Clements. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 1 until 2 p.m., at the funeral home.

Tirso Vigil, the son of Onselmo and Narsisa Vigil, was born January 26, 1948 in Texas. He grew up in Texas. ON March 28, 1967 Tirso married Maria Martinez in Pharr, Texas. Following their marriage they lived in Chicago Heights, Illinois and in Indiana before moving to Minnesota.
Tirso was employed as a truck driver for Mathiowetz Construction for 15 years; he retired in 2010. Tirso enjoyed working on his cars and, most of all, spending time with his wife, family, and his dog Pepper.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Clements; children Velma (Paul) Haugan of Fairfax, Rene Vigil of Texas, Idalia Vigil of Fairfax, and Jessica Vigil of Fairfax; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Tirso was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Tirso Vigil, Jr.
