Tom Kiergaard

Thomas "Tom" N. Kiergaard, age 79, of Redwood Falls passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard Lake, Minnesota. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Thomas Niels Kiergaard, the son of Niels and Evelyn (Nielsen) Kiergaard was born December 19, 1943 in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated from Morgan High School in 1962. Tom enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on November 19, 1962 and went on to serve in Vietnam until his honorable discharge on March 3, 1966. He was proud to be a Marine.

Tom was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. He was an active member of the Morgan VFW, the American Legion of Redwood Falls and served as a member of the Honor Guard.

Tom is survived by his children Melissa (Todd) Smith, Kathy(Karen) Kiergaard, Pete Kiergaard and Matt (Kim) Kiergaard; 9 grandchildren, and his sister, Patricia Fenske. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Donna Metcalf.

The family would like to thank Corey and Val for all their love and support for dad.

From dad to his beloved dog Sadie, he will always love you.
