Theresa Henning, 46, of Canby and formerly of Redwood Falls died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Wabasso. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue at the church on Monday for one hour prior to services.

Theresa Mae Henning, the daughter of Leland and Lorraine (Kolp) Henning, was born July 11, 1964 in Redwood Falls. She grew up in Redwood Falls and received her education at the Developmental Achievement Center (DAC) in Redwood Falls. Theresa moved to Canby in 1989 and attended the DAC there.

She was a baptized member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Wabasso. Theresa enjoyed being outdoors, going to concerts, and going for walks. She also enjoyed being read to and going to the library. Theresa liked to listen to music and spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother Lorraine Henning of Redwood Falls; her brothers Mike Henning of Seaforth, and Jason Henning of Fergus Falls; her sisters Kay Henning of Apple Valley, Amy Henning (fiancé Keith Christenson) of Sartell, Fay (Mark) Stoneberg of Redwood Falls, and Lisa (John) Zollner of Redwood Falls; many nieces and nephews; and one great-niece. Theresa was preceded in death by her father, Lee Henning, on May 19, 1989.
