Steven L. Brockway, age 76 of Franklin, MN, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in his home in Franklin. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial of cremains to follow in Beaver Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 from noon until time of services in the funeral home.

Steven Leroy Brockway was born April 13, 1942 in Waverly, Iowa to Truman Milo and Naomi Faye (Behrens) Brockway. He moved with his family to Minnesota in 1951 and attended Franklin Public Schools graduating from Franklin High School in 1961. Steve served in the U.S. Army for two years and then returned to Franklin. He worked at a welding shop in Olivia, as a police officer for Morton City later going to work for Schmidt Construction as well as driving semi for many years retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Franklin for a number of years. He enjoyed playing pool and having a drink with his brother and friends.
Steven is survived by his brother Jerry (Shirley) Brockway of Morton, sisters; Janice (Gary) Simondet of Morton, Karen Brockway of Wittman, AZ, and Linda Okins of Cottonwood and special friend Tom of Milroy. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Bev Rademacher, Marilyn Bucholtz and Mary Brockway in infancy.
