On April 27, 1948, Sigrid married Lowell Hansen. They settled on a farm near Clements, later they moving to a farm in rural Morgan. Sigrid was a nurse at Redwood Falls Municipal Hospital and farmed with her husband. Following their retirement in the fall of 1985, Sigrid and Lowell moved into Redwood Falls. After Lowell’s death in 1995, Sigrid moved to Farmington to be closer to her kids and grandkids. She relocated to Ebenezer Ridges in Burnsville in 2013.
Sigrid was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church where she was active in the ALCW and Women of the ELCA, volunteering in many capacities. She was passionate about reading, quilting, and needlework. Sigrid was interested in news and current events. She volunteered at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan and loved spending time with family and friends.
