Shirley Baker

Shirley Baker, age 66 of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial of cremains at a later date in Lake View Cemetery, Clear Lake, South Dakota. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services from the Nelson Hillestad Funeral Home.

Shirley Ann Baker was born October 13, 1949 in Hendricks, Minnesota to Herman and Iva (Crawford) Wiederich. She grew up in Sebeka, Minnesota attending public school there graduating from Sebeka High School in 1967. Shirley was the youngest of 12 children in her family while growing up. She was united in marriage to Dan Baker and they had one son Justin. She moved to Redwood Falls in 1968 where she worked at the REM Home and in later years at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls. Shirley enjoyed doing word search puzzles, spending time with family and friends as well as her cats.

Shirley Baker died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the age of 66 years. She is survived by her son Justin and two brothers; Henry (Joyce) Wiederich of Hutchinson, Minnesota and Vern (Ginger) Wiederich of Wadena as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers; Herman Jr., Kenneth, Johnny, Earl, Bobby, Howard and Donald and her two sisters; Helen Stangeland and Donna Wiederich.
