Sandra Beverly Nissen, 75, of Franklin died Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Seasons Hospice Home in Redwood Falls. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Franklin, with burial to be held at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m.
Family requests memorials be directed to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Sandra Nissen, the daughter of Herbert and Helen (Lothert) Meyer, was born August 13, 1943 in Redwood Falls, MN. She received her education in South St. Paul and graduated with honors from the South St. Paul High School in 1961.
On June 9, 1962 Sandra married Jerry Nissen at the Grace Lutheran Church. They resided in South St. Paul and later moved to Franklin in 1976. She and her husband Jerry owned and operated the Longbranch in Franklin for many years.
Sandra was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church where she was active in all kinds of activities with the church, volunteering for Church Bazaars, fund raising events, lectures and helping with funerals. She was always involved in the Franklin Catfish Derby Days and local events. Sandra was also a member of and past president of the Franklin Civic Club. She also enjoyed traveling, spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her husband Jerry of Franklin; son Scott (Linda) Nissen of Franklin; daughter Tracy (Steve) Drechsler of Zimmerman; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, LaVonne Walter of Taylor Falls, MN, and Diane (Mike) McCorquodale of Franklin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
