Ronald Mac Swigart, age 64, of Milbank, South Dakota passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at his home in Fridley, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, from Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial to be held later this summer in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery-Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.

Ronald Swigart was born March 20, 1959 in Springfield, Minnesota to Russell and Loree (Harkin) Swigart. The family moved back to Redwood Falls area to farm the Swigart farm in 1966.
Ronald received his education from Redwood Falls School and graduated in 1977. Following graduation, Ronald enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for four years. He then returned and resided in the Minneapolis area working as a realtor. He spent considerable time working with his church and missions. He enjoyed wildlife and was excited to explore the abundant wildlife in the Milbank, SD area where he had recently moved to. He enjoyed family functions where he was always the first to start a board game or teach great nieces and nephews to play cards.
Ronald Swigart is survived by his siblings; Debra (Loran) Kaardal of Morgan, MN, Dean Swigart of Redwood Falls, MN, Pauline (Dave) Iverson of Litchfield, MN, James (Pam) Swigart of Gowen, MI; Eleven nieces and nephews; Thirty-one great and great-great nieces and nephews and as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Loree (Harkin) Swigart.
