Richard D. Stellmacher, 82, of Redwood Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Middle Creek United Methodist Church in rural Redwood Falls with burial at a later date in the Middle Creek Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and visitation will continue at Middle Creek United Methodist Church from 10 until 11 am on Tuesday.

Richard Dale Stellmacher, the son of Raymond and Lilah (Black) Stellmacher, was born on February 27, 1941 in Flora Township, Renville County, Minnesota. Richard attended country school in Flora township and graduated from Redwood Falls Lincoln High School in 1959. In 1960 he enlisted and served in the Army National Guards and later returned home to Redwood Falls. He married Lynette Willhite on September 11, 1982, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. They bought their forever home in North Redwood together and enjoyed living there for many years. He was a member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church in rural Redwood Falls. Richard farmed for many years and then worked at Central Bi for 26 years until retiring in 2004.
He loved farming and attending Farmfest at Gilfillan and also enjoyed listening to KLGR station on the radio and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Lynette of Redwood Falls; a son, Curtis and his wife Michelle Stellmacher of Wabasso; a sister, Joann and husband Harley Vogel of New Ulm; a brother, Donn and his wife Gayle Stellmacher of rural Renville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
