Randy “Beefy” Kerkhoff, 57, of Morgan died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 4 until 7 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Morgan. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., at the church

Randal Lee Kerkhoff, the son of Dalbert and MaryAnn (Wagner) Kerkhoff, was born December 4, 1959. He grew up in Morgan and received his education in St. Michael’s Catholic School and Morgan Public School. Randy graduated from Morgan High School in 1978 and then worked construction for Jim Heiling. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on February 11, 1980 and, following his honorable discharge on February 14, 1984, returned to the Morgan area. Randy worked construction for his brother Gary and then R&G Construction. For the past year he worked road construction for Riley Brothers Construction in Morris.
Randy is survived by his mother Mary Ann Kerkhoff of Morgan; siblings Ron Kerkhoff of Franklin, Patty Kerkhoff of Morgan, Denny Kerkhoff of Morgan, Karen Kerkhoff of Springfield, Marsha Kerkhoff of Redwood Falls, Gary (Deb) Kerkhoff of Franklin, and Rhonda (Mahlon) Mace of Redwood Falls; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Stan, niece Shannon, aunts and uncles.
