Paul Forsyth, 90, of Franklin died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Season’s hospice in Redwood Falls. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Paul, the son of James and Cecelia (Lampl) Forsyth, was born July 31, 1922 in Birch Coulee Township, Renville County. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1941 and then spent three years in the U.S. Army. Upon his return home, he married Doris Routhe in 1948 and took over the family farm.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Franklin. Paul was very active in various Franklin area community groups and committees.
Paul is survived by his children Terri (Jim) Meyer of Comfrey, Kathy (Ben) Williams of Mesa, Arizona, and Kurt Forsyth of Franklin; and grandchildren Amy (David) Nelson of Litchfield, Suzie Meyer of Springfield, Emily (Trevor) Dahmes of Morgan, Abbie Meyer of Marshall, Tim Meyers of Mill Creek, Washington, Sean Meyers of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Nicole Forsyth of Franklin. Also surviving Paul are nine great-grandchildren; and special friend Maureen Prokosch of Franklin.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris, son John, and sisters Marien Lidbeck and Dory Lidbeck.
