Melissa "Missi" Jo Boehne

Melissa “Missi” Jo Boehne, age 48, of Redwood Falls passed away on July 15, 2023, at her home in Redwood Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from St John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Monday, July 24, 2023, from 5 until 7 p.m., at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.

Missi was born on March 24, 1975 in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She attended Redwood Falls schools and graduated from high school in 1996. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of those around her with her kind and giving nature. Missi was passionate about helping others and worked at SEI Thrift Store, where she made a positive impact on the lives of many.

In her free time, Missi found joy in dancing to music, laughing, attending Jesus Cares, spending time with family and friends, going to church camp, participating in Special Olympics, and participated in 4-H. Missi was Baptized in 1975 at the First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls. She was an active member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and was deeply devoted to her faith in Christ.

Missi's warm personality radiated love and kindness to everyone she met. She had a heart full of compassion for others and was always making others smile and laughing. Missi had a beautiful spirit that brought light into the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Missi was loved and will be missed by all of her families.  Eugene Sand "Grandpa Bum", Julie Guggisberg, Faith and Ken Johnson, Jon Guggisberg and Michelle Lund, Kerry and Melvin Maddock, Harold and Angie Guggisberg, Dean and Marie Guggisberg, Linda and Fred Eichmiller, Megan and Josh Volante,  Graham and Mariah Eichmiller, Vickie and Jon Thompson, Alan and Mona Boehne,  step-aunts and uncles, including Debbie and Tom Toohey, Jill and Joe Berglove, Beth and Tim Barten, Faye Richardson, Thomas Sand, as well as many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Lee Guggisberg, Marlene Boehne, Edgar Boehne, her niece Christine Maddock, and her cousin Jedd Harms.
