Mary H. Domeier, 78, of Redwood Falls died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Seasons hospice in Redwood Falls. Memorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from the St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls with inurnment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016, from 4 until 8 p.m., with Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m., all at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the church.

Mary Henrietta Domeier, the daughter of Paul and Agnes (Mills) Johnson, was born August 16, 1938 in Brookville Township, Redwood County. She grew up on farms near Morgan and Sleepy Eye. Mary graduated from Morgan High School in 1956.
On June 8, 1957, Mary married Edward Domeier in St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan and they made their home in Morgan until 1971. At that time, they moved to Redwood Falls where Mary was employed by REM-South Central Services until her retirement in 1998. She then worked for Lee’s Janitorial until 2001 and later at Curves for a short time. Mary was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women.
Mary and Ed belonged to Entertainment Unlimited for 25 years and enjoyed entertaining at nursing homes and other functions. Mary was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and did volunteer work in the community.
She is survived by her children Katherine (Dick) Rejsek of Morgan, Tamera (Doug) Harazin of Redwood Falls, Michael (Teresa) Domeier of Norwood, and Patrick (Lynn) Domeier of Apple Valley; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her brother Donald (Betty) Johnson of Morgan.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 2014; and her parents
