Marlene Weber, age 87, of Redwood Falls, passed away on Tuesday evening, November 24, 2020, at Methodist Hospital in Saint Louis Park, MN. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at the Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, with burial to follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Redwood Falls. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you plant a tree or shrub in Marlene's memory. Memorials preferred to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Marlene was born June 7, 1933 in Springfield, MN to Philip "Phil" and Vera (Buth) von Fischer. She graduated from Springfield High School and South Dakota State University. She worked as a pharmacist at Rochester Methodist Hospital, Stadick Rexall Drug in Morgan, and Brix Rexall Drug in Redwood Falls until her retirement.
On September 2, 1961, Marlene married Curtis Weber in Springfield. They were blessed with three children and eight grandchildren. Marlene was an active member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially holidays and annual lake vacations, quilting, baking and playing cards.
Marlene is survived by her son Dean of Duluth, daughters Becca and husband Tim Skaar of Woodbury, and Sara and husband Willie Frazier of Pocahontas, AR; grandchildren Nicole and Danielle Weber, Jordan, Abby and Nathan Skaar, and Calvin, Skylar and Samuel Frazier. Also surviving are her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Hier, brother-in-law Maurice "Moe" and wife Shirley Weber, and sister-in-law Ines Trebesch. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis, her parents, brothers William and Philip "Bud" von Fischer, and sister Margaret "Marge" Weber.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her wonderful neighbors Royce & Connie Heffelfinger and Art & Carol Anderson.
