Mark Forbrook, 50, of Morgan died Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017 from Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morgan with burial in Morgan City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 3 until 7 p.m., at Zion Evangelical Church in Morgan. Visitation will continue on Monday, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m., at the church.

Mark Roy Forbrook was born October 22, 1966, to Louie and Judy (Fixsen) Forbrook in Sleepy Eye. He was baptized and confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church in Morgan where he was a lifelong member. Mark was raised on the family farm in rural Sleepy Eye. He attended Morgan Public School graduating in 1985. He attended Southwestern Technical College, graduating in 1987 with an accounting degree.
After graduating Mark worked as an accountant in Glenwood and Montivideo. He returned to the family farm in 1993, farming with his family until his death. That same year he began his career at Dick’s Sport Center doing everything from shop work, to sales, and accounting. He moved to the original Forbrook homestead in 2008.
An avid sportsman, Mark especially enjoyed fishing, as well as hunting deer and pheasants. He loved sports. He was a huge fan of Minnesota athletics, often watching multiple events at the same time. With this in mind the family invites you to wear your favorite team apparel to the visitation.
Mark passed away at his home March 29, 2017. He is survived by his father Louie (Brenda) Forbrook, as well as his siblings Dan Forbrook; Michelle (Scott) Phillips; Amy (Mike) Heidemann; Angie (Wayne) Mathiowetz; Mike (Angela) Ball; Matt (Nikki Smith) Ball; Chris (Alishia) Ball. Mark had many nieces and nephews he loved dearly: Darris and Garret Forbrook; Casey (Carol), Elizabeth, and Isaac Phillips; Haley (Zach Gorr) Phillips; Collin (Hannah) and Elyse Phillips; Brianna, Kaleb, and Aaron Heidemann; Paige Mathiowetz; Alexis, Brooklyn, Savanah, Payton Ball; Kara and Jaylen Ball. He is preceded in death by his mother.
A celebration of life will follow the visitation Sunday evening, main street Morgan.
