Marjorie Zempel, 90, of Morgan died unexpectedly November 14, 2018 at her home. A private memorial service will held at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home. A public Graveside Service for Marjorie will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 at Mount Hope Cemetery, rural Morgan.
The family requests that memorials be sent in care of Mount Hope Cemetery.

Marjorie was born August 4, 1928 in Franklin, MN, the daughter of Carl and Susan (Brown) Lieske. She attended school in Franklin Public Schools and graduating in 1946. She married Elmer Zempel on August 18, 1946 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan.
Marjorie was an active member of St. John Lutheran, where she was a Sunday school teacher, attending Bible studies and ACLW. She worked as bookkeeper when Elmer was the road grader for Eden Township. Marjorie was a homemaker and loved to garden and helped with the farm work. She loved her dog, a rat terrier named, Mollie.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Eugene (Lori) Zempel of Morgan, Ron (Betty) Zempel of Franklin, Linda (Craig) Hansen of Sleepy Eye, 5 grandchildren and 7 great children, sister Helen Meieding and brother Jack Lieske of New Ulm. She is preceded in death by Elmer and son Loren and daughter Susan.
