Isabel Revier, 100, of Sleepy Eye died Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from Church of the Sacred Heart in Franklin with burial to follow in St. Patrick’s Birch Coulee Cemetery, rural Franklin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, from 4 until 7 p.m., at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and will continue on Thursday at the church for one hour prior to services.

Isabel Rose Revier, the daughter of William and Mathilda (Dickmeier) Revier, was born October 26, 1912 on the family farm in Sherman Township, Redwood County. Isabel spent her youngest years on the family farm, which was located in the river valley near “Wabasha Hill.” In 1915 or 1916, the Revier family moved into Franklin and Isabel received her formal education in Franklin Public Schools. Following graduation from high school, she attended one year of teacher’s college. In the late 1930s, Isabel enrolled in Mankato Beauty School; she spent the next 52 years operating her own beauty shop in Franklin, retiring in 1990.

Isabel was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She belonged to CCW and was a member of the church choir. Isabel was a Campfire Girl. She belonged to the Franklin civic club and the Franklin Women’s Civic Club.

Isabel is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers Lawrence and Julius; sisters Ellen, Mabel, Evelyn and Melva; foster sister Mrs. Harvey Lussenhop; and “adopted” sister Ann Cain.
