On July 21, 1950, Lois married Allyn Oliver Sieckert in Morgan. They make their home in Morgan and, for a few years, in Redwood Falls. Lois and Allyn had two children, Del and Judy. Lois enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. In 1976, Lois and Allyn divorced and she moved to Sleepy Eye and worked for her brother at Boot’s Hideaway Café for a few years.
On December 30, 1980, Lois married Omar Swenstad and lived in Sleepy Eye for 20 years before returning to Morgan in 2000.
Lois was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she helped in the kitchen with funerals and sandwich suppers. She and her family also donated Christmas bags for the children. Lois’ special interests included bowling, crossword, circle-a-word and jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards, dice and board games. She enjoyed making horseradish, gardening, outdoor activities, and watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Most dear to Lois was her family and friends, going to activities, and spending time with them.
She is survived by her children Del Sieckert of Morgan, and Judy (Tim) Hultquist of Morgan; grandson Mitchell Hultquist (Jamie Groebner); and great-grandchildren Keira, Keanna, and Tayte Hultquist.
