Linda Jean Steinhaus, the daughter of Clyde and Arlene (Rose) Fiedler, was born December 16, 1957 in Sleepy Eye. She grew up on the farm in Brown County, near Cobden, and received her formal education in Morgan Public School. Linda graduated from Morgan High School in 1976.
On July 24, 1987, Linda married Larry Steinhaus at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan and the couple lived in the Morgan area where they raised their two children. Linda had her own house-cleaning business which she operated until just recently. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School there when her kids were young. Linda loved to garden; her passion was mowing the lawn! She loved her geese and her cats, camping and fishing. Linda was an excellent flower arranger and did beautiful embroidery work. She enjoyed entering in the county fair’s open class and won many awards for needlework, vegetable gardening and flower arranging.
Linda is survived by her husband Larry of rural Springfield; daughter Melanie (Chad) Danielson of Clements; son David (Becky) Steinhaus of Marshall; and grandchildren Ashton, Carter and Alisyn Danielson, and Keira Steinhaus. Also surviving are her brothers Daniel (Patti) Fiedler of Springfield, and Larry (Cherry) Fiedler of Danube; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Blessed be her memory.
