Leonard Dolezal, 88, of Redwood Falls died Thursday evening, May 19, 2016 at Wood Dale Home in Redwood Falls. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from St Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls with inurnment to follow in St Mary’s Cemetery, Bechyn. Visitation will be held 9:30-10-30 a.m. prior to the service at St Catherine’s Church.

Leonard Dolezal, son of Wensel Henry and Emma Cecilia (Kodet) Dolezal, was born October 4, 1927 in Beaver Falls Township, Renville County Minnesota.
He attended school in Redwood Falls. He was a Seaman in the Merchant Marine for over 30 years. During his time in the Merchant Marine he was called to serve in WWII and the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged from the Merchant Marines he returned home, helping his brother farm.
He was a member of St Catherine’s Catholic Church, Redwood Falls. He was also a member of the Eagles serving as President.
Leonard is survived by his brother Miloyd “Buddy” and wife JoAnn Dolezal of Redwood Falls; sisters-in-law Valora Dolezal of California and Judy Dolezal of Cannon Falls, MN.
He is preceded in death by his 8 brothers Alois, Edward, Wencel “Leo”, Joseph, Harry, Frank, Charles, John and 3 sisters Magdeline, Mary and Rose.
