Lawrence "Larry" J. Caneff

Lawrence "Larry" J. Caneff, age 81, of Morgan, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at his home in Morgan, Minnesota. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, with burial to follow in St. Michael's Catholic Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to his service at the church.

Lawrence "Larry" J. Caneff, born on December 4, 1943, in Hastings, Minnesota, passed away on December 21, 2024. He was the son of John and Grace (Barkdull) Caneff.

Larry attended school at Guardian Angels in Hastings. He dedicated 39 years of his career to ConAgra in Hastings before retiring in 2004, subsequently moving to Morgan, where he enjoyed spending time with his family.

On September 9, 1963, Larry married Elizabeth Murphy in Rochester, Minnesota. Together, they built a loving family. Sadly, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Caneff; daughters, Mirinda Caneff and Denise Winter; grandson, Jacob Otto as well as siblings Tim Caneff, Ed Caneff, Dan Caneff, Dennis Bauer, and Betty Fox.

Larry is survived by his children, Teresa Ann (Scott) Vogl of Morgan, Tina Marie (Ken) Spaeth, and Jennifer Louise (Darren Hacker) Kaase, also of Morgan; son-in-law, Mark Winter of Hastings. He is remembered fondly as a devoted father and grandfather, leaving behind 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Janice Hicks and Lin Youle, both of Hastings, and sister-in-law, Linda Bauer of Hastings.

Larry had a warm personality and loved spending time playing with his grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

Larry's life touched many, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
