Karen M. Haugen

Karen Haugen, 74, of Redwood Falls died Friday, November 13, 2015 at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis. A private family service will be held with spring inurnment in the Clinton Cemetery. Arrangements are with Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Service of Redwood Falls. E-mail condolences may be sent via www.nelson-hillestad.com. Karen M. Haugen, the daughter of Irene Green, was born October 6, 1941 in Beardsley. She grew up in the Beardsley area and graduated from high school there. On May 18, 1963, Karen married Robert “Bob” Haugen at Beardsley. The family resided in Redwood Falls where Karen worked in the Redwood County Court Administrator’s office for over 30 years. Karen was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, coffee time, gardening, and taking the dog for walks.
