Harry Jesse Vermillion, the son of Benjamin and Antoinette (Tamboscie) Vermillion, was born December 13, 1949 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Philadelphia and received his formal education there, graduating high school in 1968. Harry later attended Temple University and the University of Phoenix where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
On April 14, 1972, Harry married Beth Ellen Ritts at the United Presbyterian Church in Gilroy, California. Harry was enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a Russian Linguist. He was stationed in Fort Ord California, Fairbanks Alaska, Sinop Turkey, with the NSA at Fort Mead Maryland. Following his honorable discharge in October 1977, the family returned to Gilroy, later moving to Sacramento California, and then Knoxville Tennessee. They moved to Redwood Falls in 2010 where Harry was the materials manager for Schult Homes.
He was a member of the Redwood Falls Lions Club. Harry enjoyed playing the piano, and loved to paint – particularly animals and scenery. He was a private person but friendly as all get out!
Harry is survived by his wife Beth of Redwood Falls; son Chad (Dawn) Vermillion of Bonham, Texas; grandson Nathan; and siblings Robert Vermillion, Kathleen (Dominic) Peda, Doris Vermillion, and Howard Vermillion, all of Pennsylvania; six nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Blessed be his memory.
