Esther Bratsch

Esther Bratsch, 94, of Redwood Falls, passed away at Sunwood Care Center on August 11, 2019. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial to follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 1 until 2 pm.

Esther Bratsch, the daughter of John and Ida (Yock) Schmidt, was born September 24, 1924, in Renville, Minnesota. She grew up in Renville and attended Renville Schools. In 1942 Esther married Kermit Bratsch at a Lutheran Church in Renville. After they got married, they lived in Renville a few years and in 1947 they moved to Redwood Falls and raised their family. Esther was a homemaker and mother. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and other family members and friends. Esther was a Vikings Fan.

Esther is survived by her son, Jerry Bratsch of Redwood Falls, daughter-in-law, Marlys Larson of Redwood Falls, granddaughter, Kristi Rasmussen of Maplewood, Minnesota and great-granddaughter, Marquette Bratsch of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kermit; son, Gary Bratsch, granddaughter, Melissa Bratsch and a grandson at birth.
