Donald G. Lingbeek, age 74, of Redwood Falls, MN, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at his home in Redwood Falls. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial to be held later this spring at New Hope Salem Cemetery in rural Comfrey, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to his service at 10:00 a.m. at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home. Lunch to follow the service.

Donald Lingbeek, born on June 24, 1950, to Hilko and Evelyn (Anacker) Lingbeek. His life was marked by a profound love for the land and those around him, embodying the spirit of joy and connection.
Throughout his life, Donald was a dedicated worker at Service Enterprises (LEAP Program), Heartland Industries (Thrift Store), and Prime Manufacturing where he made wooden pallets.
Donald’s heart belonged to the farm. Donald shared many fond memories of the farm life with his parents and siblings when growing up. Donald also brought the farm life to the city where he planted his raised beds with both fruits, vegetables and flowers. Donald enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, watching wildlife. He had a fondness for traveling where he traveled to many different States including Branson and a cruise. Donald had many experiences and memories.
Donald was part of the Gloria Dei congregation and enjoyed the Wednesday WOW suppers. Donald also attended the Jesus Cares Program, People First and Special Olympics where he was on a bowling league. He loved working on his iPad where he enjoyed You Tube videos, games and listening to Christian Music.
He had an infectious sense of humor and a genuine love for people, often lightening the mood with his jokes and lively conversations. He took special enjoyment in riding his three-wheel bicycle, which was a familiar sight to many.
Donald is survived by his brothers: Gary (Gail) of Comfrey, Dennis (Jill) of Pensacola, FL, Joel (Barb) of Renville, Chuck (Connie) of Hutchinson, and Clark of Comfrey. He is also survived by his sister, Ruthann (John) Sweeney of Larimore, ND, along with many nephews and nieces.
Donald’s REM family and SEI family will truly miss his hugs, love and laughter, his relationships with will be cherished forever.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Hilko and Evelyn (Anacker) Lingbeek, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
In remembering Donald, we celebrate a life lived fully, a spirit that brought joy to countless others, and a bond that will eternally remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
