Donald Haugen, 77, of Franklin and formerly of Breezy Point, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Burial will be at a later date in the Odessa Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 1 until 2 p.m., at the church.

Donald Duane Haugen, the son of George and Elizabeth (Love) Haugen, was born October 10, 1935 in Big Stone, South Dakota. He grew up in Big Stone and received his formal education there.
On June 17, 1961, Don married LaVonne Kaehler in Odessa. He was employed as a caregiver in Carver County for 15 years. Don was a member of Journey Nisswa.
He is survived by his wife LaVonne Haugen of Franklin; son Duane (Terri) Haugen of Perham; daughter Tammy Haugen of Shakopee; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Phyllis Losey of Franklin, Wisconsin, and Barbara Bailey of Milbank, South Dakota; and brothers Willard Haugen of Webster, South Dakota, and Larry Haugen of Hampton. Don was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
