Diann Schafer

Diann M. Schafer, age 79 of Willmar, MN, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at Divine House in Willmar, MN. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Middle Creek Methodist Church, in rural Redwood Falls with burial to follow in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. A visitation will be held two hours prior to her service, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

Diann Marie Schafer was born on September 1st, 1945, in Danube, MN to Edwin R. and Laura (Pfeifer) Schafer.

Diann grew up on a farm south of Danube and attended Middle Creek United Methodist Church. She moved to Willmar, MN in 1974 and has enjoyed being a part of that community since. She lived in Kindle Hope until 1996, and Divine House since then. Diann worked at West Central Industries until she retired in 2018.

Diann enjoyed bowling and attending fairs and festivals. Her favorite thing was having family take her out to eat and go shopping. Her favorite treat was going to the Dairy Queen.

Diann is survived by many nieces and nephews, a great niece and nephew, four great-great nephews, cousins and friends. Diann was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Laura Schafer; siblings, Delaino Schafer and Gilman Schafer.

Despite sadness, we can now celebrate as Diann enjoys the presence of the Lord.
