Dennis Niemann, 70, of Redwood Falls died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Redwood Area Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Wabasso with Pastor Rahea Evenson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church.

Dennis Raymond Niemann was born July 25, 1940, in Springfield, MN to Raymond and Selma (Struebing) Niemann. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Waterbury Township.
After graduation from Wabasso High School, he became a member of the Redwood Falls National Guard and worked in communications. He worked for Control Data many years and then worked as a statistical reporter for the United States Department of Agriculture until his retirement. He enjoyed old cars and electronics.
On July 3, 2011, Dennis passed away at the Redwood Area Hospital. He had attained the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 8 days.
He is survived by his sister Joan (Hilton) Huhnerkoch, 2 nephews, and 1 niece.
