Delbert Dale Buehler, the son of Chris and Elsie (Wesloh) Buehler, was born September 27, 1935 in Hector. He moved with his family to Morton when he was a small child. Delbert received his formal education in Morton Public School and graduated from Morton High School. He served in the United States Army from 1956 until 1957. Following his honorable discharge, Delbert moved to Minneapolis where he was employed by a popcorn company. Following his retirement in 1992, Delbert returned to Morton.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Delbert enjoyed reading the paper and always read every word – from the front page to the back page. He liked sports and was a big Vikings fan. Delbert was a stay-at-home kind of guy and enjoyed listening to country music.
He is survived by his brother Melvin Buehler of Morton; sister Joyce (Craig) Neuenburg of West St. Paul; nephews Steven Barnes of Tucson, Arizona, Gary Barnes of Cleveland, Ohio, Bill Buehler of St. Paul, and Alan Neuenburg of West St. Paul; and nieces Barbara Beck of Golden Valley, Susan Tawara of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jolene Kissner of Blaine.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Elsie Buehler; brother Joseph Buehler; sister Elois Barnes; and nephew Keith Barnes.
Blessed be his memory.
