Bernice Seifert

Bernice Seifert, 92, of Morgan died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Morgan with burial to follow in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Morgan. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 12:30 until 1 p.m., at the funeral home.

Bernice Mary Seifert, the daughter of William and Sophie (Sellner) Weiss, was born May 28, 1924 in Albin Township, Brown County. She grew up in rural Sleepy Eye and received her formal education – and graduating from – St. Mary’s School in Sleepy Eye. Bernice was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan.

While living on the west coast, Bernice married Lewis “Louie” Seifert. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2016.

Bernice is survived by her sister Leona Hacker of New Ulm, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Louie, and sister Arlene Machtemes.
