Arlette MaKarrall

Arlette I. MaKarrall, age 94, of Redwood Falls, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Centra Care – Redwood Hospital in Redwood Falls, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Nelson-Hillestad Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with a private family burial to follow in the Lamberton Cemetery in Lamberton. Visitation will be held two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 pm. at the funeral home.

Arlette was born in Lamberton Township to Art and Edith Bittner. She attended Lamberton High School, graduated in 1947.

She married Percy MaKarrall Jr. of Lamberton on December 20, 1948 in the Methodist Church in Minneapolis, MN where Percy had grown up. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. 

They lived on the farm south of Revere, after their marriage till 1983, when they moved to Redwood Falls, MN where they owned and operated MaKarrall Crop Insurance Agency, where she worked as the secretary and was also an agent for 55 years until November of 2024. She was proud that she still worked and loved farmers and friends who stopped in to visit and have coffee and cookies.

She treasured spending time with family, listening to country music, shopping, and cooking. 

Arlette survived by her sons; Dave (Bev) of Revere, MN and Dan of Redwood Falls, MN. Grandson Mark (Jessica) of Lamberton, MN and Granddaughter Stacy (fiancé Chad) of Spirit Lake, Iowa. Great grandchildren Isaac MaKarrall, Abigail MaKarrall, Amara MaKarrall, Spencer Lien, Hunter Lien, Ava Lien.

She is preceded in death by her husband Percy JR., grandson Scott MaKarrall. Parents Art & Edith Bittner, in-laws Percy SR and Tilda. Brothers; Gordon, Orvie, Elwood Bittner. Brother in-law Ronald (Vivian) MaKarrall, Sisters in-law Doris (Elwood) Hutchins and Fern Mattison.
