Alice Christine Green, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Kline) McNamara, was born July 26, 1915. As a young child Alice’s family moved from Prophetstown, Illinois to Redwood Falls, Minnesota where she graduated from high school.
On February 2, 1940, Alice married the love of her life, Herb Green. After their marriage, they settled on a farm near Morgan. Herb died in 1959; Alice moved to Richfield in 1970. Throughout her life Alice enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, playing bridge and making friends with all whom she met. Alice’s greatest joy in life was her beloved family and the many friends she made throughout her life, generously sharing her wisdom and time with all.
Alice is survived by her children Barbara (John) Kulstad, Max (Sandy) Green, and Margaret Green (Tom Black); daughter-in-law Karon Green; grandchildren Mark (Kathy) Green, Lisa (Dan) Hanson, Jake Kulstad (Kristen Lindgren), Sonja (Tony) Roach, Tracy (Chad) Rittenhouse, Kim (Scott) Berggren and Molly Black; great-grandchildren Madelyn and Andrew Green, Nic and Julia Hanson, Hannah and Robbie Roach, Ted and Alice Kulstad-Lindgren, Aubrey and Leland Rittenhouse, Weston and Layken Berggren; sisters-in-law Mae Vollbrecht, Ruth Green Simonsen, and Agnes McNamara; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert W. Green; son Casper Green, and seven brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank her caregivers and friends at Sunrise Senior Living of Golden Valley and Grace Hospice for their loving care of Alice.
Blessed be her memory.
